I met Steven Ross Ferraro at the Fogolar Furlan Club in Thornbury just before the COVID years. He was playing on a Friday Night to presumably a few patrons interested in a Spanish night.
That’s when I began to toy with the idea of wanting to learn Spanish or at least learn how to read it properly. There was no one there in this entertainment space when I arrived on time at the Fogolar for this event and alas no one seem to be coming.
I waited for a while and decided that I would do something for Steven and musicians like him who needed a little support. I asked him to play a couple of songs for me.
This he did and I also took a few photos with Steven and his father who was there from overseas. Then we kept in touch and I produced a video for the Christmas season when Steven came to visit me at my Insegna Booksellers premises. Of course, I then shared this video on my Facebook page!
Steven and I spoke on the phone this month about Allora!, the new trending and loved Australian Italian Community Newspaper.
