Italian teacher and CNA Board Member Maria Tripodi led a new and exciting initiative called “Il Caffè con la Prof”, an immersive Italian outing experience with students from the Marco Polo – The Italian School of Sydney.
Maria is passionate about teaching Italian and strongly believes that language is best learnt when students are placed in real life situations and are therefore somewhat forced to use aspects of the language learnt in class. “From the moment we arrived, students practised their Italian as they placed their orders.
Penalties were given to those who spoke English by placing a coin in a container.
