The Federation of Sicilians in Australia is proud to announce the launch of its new membership campaign. The Federation, established as the peak representative body of Sicilian associations in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, is dedicated to promoting and preserving the cultural heritage of Sicilian Australians.
The new membership campaign is aimed at encouraging those who share a Sicilian heritage and lovers of things Sicilian to join the Federation and become part of a supportive and vibrant network. The Federation of Sicilians in Australia provides a platform for Sicilian Australians to connect, share their experiences and express their cultural identity.
The organisation holds various events and activities throughout the year, including cultural events, community gatherings, and educational programs. The Federation also serves as a voice for the Sicilian community, advocating for their interests and concerns at both the local and national levels, including with the Associations of Sicilian Migration in Italy and the Sicilian Regional Government.
The new membership campaign offers a range of benefits to members, including discounted access to events, opportunities to participate in cultural programs, and the ability to connect with other Sicilians.
The Federation also is dedicated also to supporting Sicilian cultural heritage preservation and a vital organisation for the Sicilian community in Australia, comprising 19 cultural and religious associations. By joining the Federation, members can not only connect with their cultural heritage but also contribute to the preservation of their cultural identity for future generations.
Young people with a Sicilian heritage or passion for Sicily are especially welcome to join. The yearly membership fee is $10.00 and membership is open to all. Becoming part of the Federation of Sicilians in Australia is an opportunity to join a supportive and vibrant organisation and to help shape the future of the Sicilian community in Australia.
