New facilities for staff and students at Al-Faisal College of Liverpool

Member for Werriwa Anne Stanley today opened the new library and general learning building at Al-Faisal College – Liverpool which will improve student educational outcomes.

Ms Stanley said work on the development project was delivered with support of Australian Government funding of $600,000 through the Capital Grants Program.

“A lot of work has gone into this project which has delivered a new primary school library and resources area which includes a dual level library facility, library office, information technology support area, new general learning areas and landscaping,” Ms Stanley said. 

“These new facilities will provide school staff, teachers and students at Al-Faisal College – Liverpool with better, more modern spaces in which to work, teach and learn.

“The Australian Government is committed to providing all schools with appropriate funding so that all students, including those in Al-Faisal College – Liverpool, Austral, get the best possible education.”

Ms Stanley said the new facilities would benefit the students currently at 

Al-Faisal College – Liverpool, as well as the many students who will follow in future years.

“The teachers, staff and students at Al-Faisal College – Liverpool have built a strong and positive school community and these new facilities will further enhance our local educational opportunities,” Ms Stanley said. 

“Our Government strongly believes in providing the best possible resources so that local students can realise their potential and develop the skills they need to go on to further study or to find a job.”
