As another year is drawing to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support again this year. I have worked to ensure that the views and feelings of our area have been represented in the Federal Parliament and I look forward to doing that again next year.
I particularly acknowledge the support of all the community and volunteer groups who have worked tirelessly to provide emotional and practical support during the worst days of lock down, and now as the community continues to recover.
Over the past week there has been another spike in COVID cases, with a new variant.
The Federal Government is urging people who have already been vaccinated to get a booster 5 months after their last shot.
Therefore if you had your second dose of COVID Vaccine before or during July 2021 you are now eligible for your booster. If it was August you can have it in January and so forth. I have included further details later in the newsletter.
My office will be closed for the Christmas New Year break from the 23rd of December until 10th January. Emails will be intermittently monitored.
