Anne Stanley, Member for Werriwa, has welcomed the arrival of mass vaccination clinic in Werriwa and called on residents to take advantage of the facility.
“I have been calling for more vaccines and more vaccination clinics since the rollout was first announced. While the vaccination program has been too slow and ineffective to date, I hope this marks a turning points,” Ms Stanley said.
NSW Health officially opened the COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic at Glenquarie Town Centre, Macquarie Fields today.
The centre is open 8am to 7pm, Monday to Saturday and will provide up to 5,000 vaccinations a day.
Bookings are essential and can be made via the Federal Government’s Vaccine Eligibility Checker at covid-vaccine.healthdirect.gov.au/eligibility
“The Vaccination Centre does not accept walk-ins, you must have an appointment in order to receive your vaccination.
“An interpreting service is available at the Vaccination Centre. If you need support, you can call the COVID-19 Vaccination Program hotline on 1300 056 676.
“If you are eligible for the vaccine, please consider booking an appointment.
“Getting vaccinated will keep our loved ones and our community safe and see us out of lockdown.” Ms Stanley said.
