The Marconi Automobile Club (MAC) proudly hosted its inaugural Show and Shine on 30 November 2025 in the Club Marconi carpark, attracting an enthusiastic turnout from car lovers and families across the community.
The atmosphere was vibrant, filled with the hum of engines and the excited chatter of attendees as they explored the impressive array of vehicles on display. More than 30 cars were showcased, ranging from hot rods and vintage utes to classic Australian and American muscle cars, Shelby Cobras, coupes, and a selection of modern vehicles. Children and adults alike were captivated, taking photos, asking questions, and sharing stories about their own cars.
Awards were presented to standout vehicles, with the People’s Choice Award going to Mrs Frances Biordi, who accepted on behalf of her late husband and MAC founding member Daniel Biordi for his 2017 Ford Mustang 77 Special. “This award is such a special surprise. Daniel would be so proud that his prized 77 Special was voted People’s Choice,” Mrs Biordi said, visibly moved.
The Best Modern Car award was given to Ennio Alfonsi for his 2021 Abarth 595 Competizione. Mr Alfonsi expressed his delight at the recognition, saying, “I am thrilled to receive the Best Modern Car award among so many incredible vehicles.” The Best Vintage Car award went to Robert Reggio for his Ford F100 Pick-Up Truck, who remarked, “It’s a true honour to be recognised as Best Vintage Car at the MAC Show and Shine.”
New club member Massimo Daniele highlighted the welcoming spirit of the MAC, saying, “The MAC is a club for everyone, young and old. It’s a fantastic way to meet people who share a passion for cars.”
The Marconi Automobile Club encourages new members to join regardless of the type of vehicle they own, with the only requirement being simple: four wheels and an engine.
Attendees left with smiles, memories, and renewed enthusiasm for the local car community. For enquiries, Captain Guy Zangari can be contacted at guy.zangari@icloud.com and Vice Captain Sam Noiosi at samnoiosi@gmail.com.
