The 2025 Adelaide Italian Festival was launched at Eos by SkyCity with energy and pride, unveiling a program of more than 60 events that will bring South Australians together from 7–16 November. Festival President Gina Marchetti spoke warmly of unity and identity, while the Hon. Zoe Bettison MP and Italian Consul Ernesto Pianelli highlighted the festival’s role in celebrating culture, generational diversity, and community pride.
This year’s edition is the most ambitious yet. It offers piazza gatherings, traditional feasts, cooking classes, street parties, and family-friendly activities. The signature finale, “Pranzo in the Piazza” on 16 November, promises authentic Italian food and lively entertainment in central Adelaide. Another highlight, “La Grande Gita,” will take participants to the Barossa Valley for a day of Italian flavours, cycling, and music. The program also features outdoor cinema, art showcases, and the Journey Mass, a moving tribute to migrant contributions.
Organisers thanked partners and supporters, encouraging the wider community to join, share the events, and book early. With its inclusive, open-access approach, the festival invites everyone to celebrate and embrace the Italian spirit.
