A 29-year-old woman has died following a workplace incident at a towing yard in Osborne Park, in Perth’s north. WorkSafe has been notified and is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
Emergency services, including firefighters and paramedics, were called to the workplace at about 5.40am on Tuesday.
First aid was provided to the woman, but despite efforts to save her, she died at the scene.
Police confirmed the death and said WorkSafe WA had been informed.
WorkSafe officers attended the towing yard and were seen speaking with witnesses as investigations began into how the incident occurred.
Workers at the site were reportedly visibly distressed and were seen consoling one another outside the business.
At this stage, authorities have not released further details about the nature of the workplace incident.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
The investigation remains ongoing.
